  I ordered a raspberry filling with butter cream icy cake. The icy was very sweet and very thick. This was not what I ordered. The worse part was the raspberry filling. It was raspberry jelly! Anyone can get some raspberry jelly from a jar and slap it on the cake. From a bakery shop, one would expect homemade raspberry filling. I have told them I would pay whatever the cost of cake was as long as it was a great cake. I will never go back there again.

  I got my wedding cake from Sweet Creations. The cake itself tasted fine, the owner was accommodating for me to taste the products. She didn't have a problem with the wedding date or anything at the time we set up everything. I ordered the cake in Houma because my wedding was in Houma, but I lived in Thibodaux at the time. Naturally, the cake was to be delivered to the venue of the reception in Houma, so I ordered it there. The day before the wedding I was informed that the owner was going to be on vacation and she didn't know if she had someone to deliver the cake. She was never to come through despite the agreement. She informed us, the morning of the wedding, that we would have to pick up the cake by 10 am! The venue was not expecting this and could not take the cake at this time. We had to pick up the cake in Houma, the person working in the store did not even box the cake up until my mom informed that he would have to figure out a way to do it. Then, 30 minute drive back to Thibodaux for me to finish my hair and makeup appointments and then transport the cake back to Houma for the wedding. We were as careful as possible, but the tiers on my cake slid half way off of one another and one side of the cake collapsed. We were able to salvage some things, turn it to a certain side and hide flaws with flowers for pictures, but it really was ruined. Wedding cakes are not made to be transported multiple times! This happened in 2007. This also was not a cheap business transaction and we were never offered an apology.
  
  My aunt also had a bad experience with this place within the last month (Fall 2009) (she did not remember this was where my cake had been made and the location had since changed). She ordered a cake for a work function. The order was placed with no problem and a date and time was scheduled for the pick up. When my aunt went to pick up the cake, she was told it was not baked at all. My aunt asked why since the order was placed on a specified date and time. The owner said it was because my aunt did not give her a phone number--my aunt was NEVER asked her phone number. When she stated that to the owner, the owner told my aunt, "Well, I didn't have time to bake your cake anyway!" How rude!
  
  How can someone run a business like this?! It is ridiculous and actually a shame because the cakes are actually tasty. However, is not a good enough reason to have a special occasion or function ruined. BEWARE!
